General questions about using GoCustom Clothing

When you order through the website you will be provided with an estimated date of delivery. If you are in need of your items before the dates shown, please contact our team to discuss your options. 

Yes, you can easily repeat a previous order. Log in to your account and go to the Order History page. Any orders that are available to be repeated will have a 'reorder' button.

Re-orders assume that there is to be NO change to the artwork used and that products are available.

Our expert artwork team will take the design that you provide and make it into a print or embroidery-ready file. They will also prepare an artwork proof for you to approve. We charge a small amount for the setup of this artwork. The good thing is, that you only pay for this to be done once, and can then use the same artwork on subsequent orders without the need to pay for a setup.

If you need to make adjustments to approved artwork in the future we will make a charge for this service.

Yes, you can order blank or plain items. Orders which contain only plain items are usually despatched within 3 working days.

If your discount code isn't working, please ensure it is still valid and applicable to your order. If you received the code via email, the terms and conditions will be at the bottom of that email.

In general, codes cannot be applied to bundles as these are already heavily discounted. You can only use one code at a time.

There is no minimum order quantity.

Whether you wish to order 1 item or 10,000, we genuinely welcome working with you. When you order larger quantities of an item, the cost per item reduces due to economies of scale.

We offer an individual bagging service. We use 100% compostable bags that are better for the planet.

When you view your cart you will see the option to include individual bagging, if you select this it will apply to your full order.

No, we do not customise customers' own garments at this time. We only offer customisation on our range of high-quality products to ensure the best results.

For an item to be classed as Waterproof or Breathable, it needs to meet a minimum requirement, but not all garments offer the same levels of protection.

Jacket waterproofness is measured in millimetres (mm). A 5,000mm rating means it can handle light rain. Ratings of 10,000-15,000mm can resist heavy rain and snow but may soak if under pressure. For extreme conditions and heavy load, look for ratings of 20,000mm or higher.

Breathability refers to how much water vapour can move through a square meter of the jacket's fabric in 24 hours. Ratings above 8,000g/m2/24 hours are good for general outdoor use. For active use, look for ratings over 20,000g/m2/24 hours. If you're planning high-intensity activities, a rating starting at 30,000g/m2/24 hours offers the best breathability.

Advice on the best way to look after your customised garments

You want your customised garments to last and to look good for as long as possible. Following these guidelines will help you to get the most out of your clothing.

Because your garment is customised it’s not as simple as reading the care label which is stitched in the garment. In addition to the care label instructions please ensure the following:

  • Wash inside out - this helps to protect the customisation from getting damaged, close zips and check pockets are empty
  • Wash at 30°C
  • Do not use bleach or harsh detergents/fabric conditioners
  • Do not overload the washing machine
  • Wash with similar colours and similar textured garments, at least for the first few washes as colours can run.
  • Dry immediately after washing - do not leave garments wet
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not dry clean
  • Iron inside out using the lowest heat setting, this is especially important for printed products
  • It's best to wash a new garment before its first use (more info)

Failure to follow the care advice will invalidate the warranty of your garments.


Wash at 30°C

This will ensure the customisations stay looking their best for longer. It's also better for the environment!

We understand that for certain items, particularly workwear worn in harsh conditions, washing will need to be at a higher temperature. When this is the case we would recommend embroidered garments as they are much more hardwearing.

Depending on the product and customisation choices you make, we have several different lead times. At checkout, we will show you an estimated delivery date. Customised orders have a choice of an Economy service or a speedier Express service.

Yes! It's a good idea to give your new customised garment a quick wash before wearing it for the first time. This helps remove any residues from the production process, as well as dust or particles it may have come into contact with during shipping and handling. A pre-wash ensures the fabric is fresh and gentle on your skin, which is especially important for those with sensitivities or for little ones.

Washing Instructions

GoCustom uses passwordless login. This is a more secure way to provide access to your account, plus you no longer need to remember complicated passwords.

When you attempt to log in, you will simply be asked to provide your email address. We will then send you a 6-digit code, which you enter into the website to log in.

To ensure the best experience, we recommend logging into your account, as this allows us to assist with your basket and provide seamless access to your saved designs and order history.

Potential issues:

1. You don't have an account! 

  • Email not recognised: If you have previously created an account, your email address will be recognised. However, if you have previously checked out as a guest (not created an account) or this is your first time using GoCustom, you will need to click on 'Create Account'.
  • Note that it is not mandatory to create an account on GoCustom, but it's advised, as you will be able to reuse artwork that you have previously used without paying artwork charges again.

2. Code Not Received 

  • Check your Spam/Junk folder: This is the most common issue.
  • Wait a couple of minutes: Codes can sometimes take a moment to arrive.
  • Is the email address correct? Check for spelling mistakes etc. The email must match exactly the one used when you created your account. For example, you cannot use [email protected] if you originally used [email protected].
  • Resend the code: Try the link to resend the code

3. Code Not Working

  • Make sure you're using the latest code: If you requested the code multiple times, only the most recent one.
  • Check for typos: Ensure the code was entered exactly as it appeared.
  • The code may have expired: Codes expire after 15 minutes. Select "Resend Code" if you have passed 15 minutes..
